FAQs

  • What are the benefits of Oxbridge Summer Scholars?
Our mission at Oxbridge Summer Scholars is to help students develop academically, personally and professionally. One of the main benefits of attending is the opportunity to learn from world-renowned scholars and experts in a wide range of academic fields. Students will gain exposure to cutting-edge research, innovative ideas and theories, and will be able to engage in stimulating academic debates and discussions. Students will also have the opportunity to engage with other global learners and build a diverse network of peers from around the world. This experience can help students develop valuable intercultural communication skills, and gain a deeper appreciation for different perspectives. Our combination of academic and extracurricular activities enables students to explore historical and cultural sites in the UK and gain a deeper understanding of British culture and society. These experiences can broaden students' horizons and help them develop a more nuanced understanding of the world around them.
  • Does Oxbridge Summer Scholars impact admission into the University of Oxford or the University of Cambridge?
Our programmes do not guarantee admission into any tertiary institution. However, students that attend Oxbridge Summer Scholars are exposed to learning resources offered by top universities and will have a first-hand experience of student life at Oxford and Cambridge. This can help students make informed decisions on whether Oxbridge will be a good fit for them and help them decide which academic pathways to pursue.
  • How do I know which stream fits me best?
Our programmes are split into four streams: Stream A (Science, Innovation & Technology), Stream B (Biological, Medical & Human Sciences), Stream C (Business, Economics & Global Issues) and Stream D (Humanities, Arts & Society). On our Academics page, there is information about what each stream entails; this is the best place to look. If you have a clear idea of what undergraduate courses you want to study, check out our pages for Oxford and Cambridge, where there are lists of Oxbridge-specific undergraduate courses applicable to each stream. We recommend you to consider the stream that directly relates to your chosen course. However, this does not stop you from choosing based on your interests.
  • How does Oxbridge Summer Scholars evaluate student performance and programme completion?
Oxbridge Summer Scholars will award a Certificate of Completion and academic evaluation to students that participate in all academic and compulsory extra-curricular activities. Outstanding participation in classes and the completion of excellent projects will be rewarded with special mention certificates.

  • What if my financial aid application has not been approved?
Oxbridge Summer Scholars understands that unforeseen circumstances may impact an applicant’s ability to supply application materials. We are able to make exceptions for emergencies (e.g. natural disasters, bereavement, or sickness within 3 days of the application deadline). However, if these situations do not apply to you, and parts of your applications to the program and financial aid are missing, your financial aid application will not be approved. If you have submitted all required materials and your financial aid application result has not been emailed to you, please contact us at admissions@oxbridgesummerscholars.com.
  • Will personal circumstances like health conditions, religious observances etc. impact my participation in the programme?
Oxbridge Summer Scholars holistically considers applicants from all backgrounds and admits a diverse cohort to each stream and campus. We offer students some free time during the day to practice religious observances and are able to meet all dietary needs. We also accommodate health conditions as long as students are able to fully participate in all activities, which sometimes may not have adult supervision.
